The Semey Cement Plant was built in 1958 and underwent two reconstructions during the Soviet period. The plant is equipped with 4 rotary kilns for clinker firing using the wet process. Its production capacity is 1,150,000 tons of cement per year. In recent years, the plant has undergone extensive modernization with major upgrades of core technological equipment. A range of environmental protection measures has been implemented, including major repairs of electrostatic precipitators and the introduction of a gas analysis system on rotary kilns.
The products of Semey Cement Plant are supplied both to the Kazakhstani market and to the West Siberian Federal District of Russia. Our cement is highly valued by customers in Almaty, Astana, and other regions of Kazakhstan. It has been used in the construction of the suspension bridge over the Irtysh River, Almaty International Airport, the Medeu high-mountain skating rink, the mudflow protection dam in Almaty, the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation in Astana, and the Baiterek complex. The plant actively participates in government projects and is one of the key suppliers for the construction of high-speed highways and other national infrastructure projects, such as the Western Europe–Western China corridor.
Our delivery formats include: Bulk shipments in cement rail wagons; 1-ton “BigBag” flexible containers; Innovative 50 kg polyethylene bags.
