It is no secret that the Semey Cement Plant, with a history dating back to the 1950s, has always been a leader in the construction industry of Kazakhstan and remains a city-forming enterprise. Today, it continues to maintain strong positions in the national construction market. This success is largely the result of the continuous efforts of the management and technical staff to maintain equipment in excellent condition and to introduce new technologies and modern production management methods.
Last week, T.Ye. Tleubayev, the General Director, and V.M. Ivanov, the Technical Director, visited the People’s Republic of China. As part of the business trip, meetings and negotiations were held with the management of one of the largest construction and engineering companies in China — China Gezhouba Group Company Limited, a subsidiary of China Energy Engineering Corporation (CEEC).
The company owns several large, modern cement plants equipped with the latest technologies, including artificial intelligence systems for production control. Our delegation visited one of these plants, where the most advanced methods of automated management and monitoring have been introduced across the majority of production processes.
The company is well known for its participation in major hydroelectric power projects, such as the Three Gorges Dam on the Yangtze River, and is engaged in the construction of hydroelectric power plants, dams, bridges, roads, tunnels, industrial and civil facilities, as well as cement plants. It operates both in China and abroad, including Asia, Africa, Europe, and Latin America.
